  12  Provides "traditional" versions of fixed-width fonts.

  14  These are a set of 6x13 fonts (including "fixed"), with foundry name
  15  "trad" instead of "misc", with several glyphs replaced with earlier
  16  versions from before Markus Kuhn's changes:
  17   - balanced ` and '
  18   - less tall [ ] ( ) { }
  19   - centred *
  20   - high ~
  21   - traditional appearance of lower case a

  23  These changes make the fonts compatible with the US-ASCII character
  24  set.  (UTF-8 is not compatible with ASCII in its usage of the
  25  backquote and some other characters.)  With these fonts, pre-2000
  26  documents (including ASCII art and GNU manuals) will render
  27  correctly.

  29  Optionally, this package will edit your configuration to make the
  30  default font "fixed" refer to the traditional font.

  32  (This package does not actually contain the bulk of the font data;
  33  rather, it automatically generates the required modified fonts for
  34  each font you have installed.)
