From bb0e31ffb405971a418bd40c3bf1ab76e55ed847 Mon Sep 17 00:00:00 2001 From: simon Date: Mon, 17 Mar 2003 16:57:23 +0000 Subject: [PATCH] Error messages update. It's now abundantly clear that WSAECONNABORTED is not the same thing as ECONNABORTED, so I've removed the `we're a bit confused about this, send us details' text. And someone has just been confused by `connection timed out', so I've added that too. git-svn-id: svn://svn.tartarus.org/sgt/putty@2950 cda61777-01e9-0310-a592-d414129be87e --- doc/errors.but | 34 ++++++++++++++++++++-------------- 1 file changed, 20 insertions(+), 14 deletions(-) diff --git a/doc/errors.but b/doc/errors.but index 51786b98..bbd87a3d 100644 --- a/doc/errors.but +++ b/doc/errors.but @@ -1,4 +1,4 @@ -\versionid $Id: errors.but,v 1.4 2003/01/31 23:18:44 ben Exp $ +\versionid $Id: errors.but,v 1.5 2003/03/17 16:57:23 simon Exp $ \C{errors} Common error messages @@ -204,20 +204,15 @@ of \c{su} do it automatically. \H{errors-connaborted} \q{Network error: Software caused connection abort} -In modern versions of PuTTY, you should not see this error. +This error occurs when the Windows network code decides that your +network connection is dead.
