Introduction

bascat is a program that will convert BBC BASIC files to text. It has
been written and tested on Linux with GCC 2.7.2. It has also been
compiled in the past on IRIX, Solaris and OSF/1. If you try it on any
other system, I'd be grateful for your feedback.

Copyright

Both bascat and mdwopt are covered by the GNU General Public Licence.
As such they come with NO WARRANTY, unless this program has been provided
to you by someone willing to provide you with one.

Installation

This should be fairly simple. Edit the Makefile to set the desired
CFLAGS, and possibly change the name of your C compiler. Type 'make'.
You now have a program called 'bascat'. It has no external files and
does not need to be installed into any particular place. Copy it to
somewhere in your path (/usr/local/bin works great for me. If you're
not privileged to install stuff there, try $HOME/bin)
